A man was shot and killed while seated in his vehicle in a parking lot of a fast food outlet in Ronald Road, Montclair, on Thursday afternoon.

Garrith Jamieson, the spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Medical Services, said the man, believed to be in his forties, sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

“ALS Paramedics responded to numerous calls of a shooting incident and arrived to find the bullet-riddled vehicle in the parking lot.

“Paramedics assessed a man, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The man had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He was declared deceased at the scene,” he said.

Jamieson said at this stage the events leading up to the shooting are unknown.

“However, SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.”
