A 75-YEAR-OLD Phoenix woman was discovered in a semi-conscious state after intruders drugged and robbed her home this morning. Neighbours raised the alarm when they couldn't reach her, prompting Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) to investigate the ransacked flat.
According to RUSA, residents had been unable to make contact with the elderly woman and feared for her safety. They forced entry into the flat.
“The flat had been ransacked, and packets of medication were found in the kitchen, though it remains unclear if they belonged to the victim or were left behind by the suspect.
“An eyewitness reported seeing an unfamiliar woman exiting the block of flats yesterday afternoon, carrying two packets filled with unknown items,” said Prem Balram from RUSA.
Due to her medical condition, the victim has not yet been able to provide a statement regarding the events, he added.
Anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities.
