Bollywood megastars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are currently in Cape Town filming their highly anticipated movie 'King'.

They were seen filming at the V&A Waterfront, with images quickly going viral on social media.

Padukone appeared in a flowing dress during Friday’s shoot, while Khan was dressed in a striped shirt, sunglasses, and a pendant. Reports suggest they were filming a song sequence.

According to international media reports, the South African schedule includes intense action sequences and romantic scenes for the Siddharth Anand directorial.

In the action thriller King, Khan is said to portray a seasoned, skilled and potentially dangerous mentor figure.

The film also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Directed by Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is slated for a Christmas 2026 release.

King marks Padukone's sixth collaboration with Khan. They first worked together almost 18 years ago in the blockbuster 'Om Shanti Om' and later in hits like 'Chennai Express', 'Happy New Year', 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'.

Away from movies, Padukone recently announced her second pregnancy.
