Former rugby hero James Small got tackled in an unexpected way when he attended the Absolut Pussy Galore party at Q-Bar in Burg Street, next to Cape Town's Greenmarket Square, on Friday night.
According to eyewitnesses, the person at the door got tired of chancers arriving and claiming to be on the VIP guest list, and when Small pitched up, she demanded his R40 cover charge.
Small, the owner of the Q-Bar nightclub and pool venue, was reported to have handled the situation with diplomacy and tact, although the tale spread like wildfire and caused much amusement among patrons.
