From October 10 to 12, the Suncoast Parking Site will transform into a tapestry of light, tradition, and community spirit, igniting the senses and warming the heart.
The festival promises three days filled with multicultural celebrations, ranging from performances by local artists to a fireworks display. For food lovers, this is an unmissable culinary experience; indulge in authentic Indian cuisine featuring spicy street food and gourmet delicacies that pay homage to India's rich and diverse flavours.
Shop for handcrafted jewellery, traditional clothing, and unique artisanal crafts at the market stalls, perfect for finding memorable keepsakes and gifts.
The festivities do not stop at food and shopping.
Festival-goers can immerse themselves in cultural traditions with an on-site temple, a Sundar Khand recital, a mass hawan ceremony, and the Ram Bhajan festival. Moreover, this year's festival introduces a Diwali story-themed lighting display and a variety of children's activities.
Entry to the festival is priced at R20 for adults and R10 for children, with proceeds benefiting the Verulam Hospice.
Each ticket purchase enters attendees into a lucky draw for prizes, including international flights and accommodation.
Whether you are a Durban resident or a visitor from afar, this festival promises to deliver an experience brimming with joy, spirituality, and cultural exchange.
