Kaiyuree Moodley and her mom Devi Sankaree Govender received Amman Awards for excellence in sport and media, respectively.

The Ammen Awards were hosted at the Mount Edgecombe Arts And Culture Hall on Friday, celebrating individuals who demonstrate exceptional service to the community. 

 

The recipients were: 

PROMOTION OF HINDU RELIGION: 

Mr Balakisten, Lutchmi Govender and Guruji Kirit Acharya. 

 

PROMOTION OF EASTERN LANGUAGES:

Tamil: Papamma Naidoo (Shiela Maam)
