Devotees flock to Chatsworth temple on Akshaya Tritiya for charitable offerings

Hundreds of devotees visited the Annapoorna Devi Temple in Chatsworth on Sunday for Akshaya Tritiya to make grain offerings and donations.

The term "Akshaya" translates to "never-diminishing". It is believed that any act of charity performed on this auspicious day brings eternal merit and prosperity to the donor.

The donations support Chinmaya Annapoorna's Nourish to Flourish initiative, which feeds 2,000 underprivileged people daily across the city. The project, envisioned by Pujya Swami Abhedananda, the Spiritual Head of the Chinmaya Mission of South Africa, has been a source of inspiration and hope to thousands.
