“I have been living in Umdloti for 25 years. This is the second time the floods damaged the area. When I saw the weather forecasts, I was apprehensive because I didn’t realise what the repercussions would be and what the full outcome would be.“
“It is pretty devastating. Two roads in my area have been washed away. We are using bypasses. We are not cut off, that is the main thing. It would take a year to repair damages in the area.“
