The fans clocked it, the internet clocked it, the world clocked it and now it’s official: Rihanna is pregnant with baby number three.

And it wasn’t just the outfit. Her team posted fewer full-body shots on social media. She skipped a few events. Then there was the moment she clutched her belly mid-performance support, and boom, X lit up. Suddenly, every movement was “evidence.”

Well, the internet's baby bump watch was right.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky confirmed they’re expecting their third child ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, an event where Rocky just so happened to be co-chair.

The pair arrived separately (they do love a dramatic entrance), and Rihanna showed up long after the red carpet had ended, as if to say, “Save the best for last.”

A$AP Rocky made an early appearance, donning a custom all-black ensemble from his label, AWGE. keeping things sleek while letting Rihanna do what she does best: dominate.

Rihanna’s look was giving moody elegance, with a twist of dominatrix-chic. She wore a grey structured bustier under a cropped black jacket, paired with a floor-length skirt that clung in all the right places, yes, bump included.

The look was all Marc Jacobs, down to her sculptural tie, platform heels, and that oversized hat by legendary milliner Stephen Jones. It was dramatic. It was slightly unhinged. It was perfect.

Jacobs, an American fashion designer is renowned for his sartorial interpretations of trends in popular culture. He gained prominence with his “grunge” collection in the 1990s and has since been a significant figure in the fashion industry.

If you’re wondering why the vibe felt a bit gothic-librarian-meets-fashion-overlord, that’s because Jacobs is known for just that: reinventing silhouettes, turning odd into iconic, and generally not giving a damn about rules.

In previous years, she has collaborated with designers like Guo Pei, wearing a yellow coat dress with a long train in 2015, and John Galliano for Maison Margiela in 2018, where she donned a rhinestone-encrusted minidress with a matching coat and hat.

The 2025 Met Gala's theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," celebrated Black dandyism: a distinctive fashion and cultural movement.

The event encouraged attendees to interpret the "Tailored For You" dress code through personalized fashion, including traditional menswear accessories.

And Riri slayed.

In a past interview with "Entertainment Tonight," when asked if she’d like to have a girl, Rihanna excitedly said, “I want a girl.”

So is baby number three the little princess she's been wishing for? We'll have to wait but if the reveal was this iconic, we’re already bracing for the birth announcement.
