Amidst criticism stemming from a video showing Cassper Nyovest seemingly ignoring him, Sol Phenduka responded on social media by sharing a meme.

Sol Phenduka is trending for a moment he probably wishes we’d all forget.

A viral video shows the "Podcast and Chill" co-host trying - unsuccessfully, might I add - to get rapper Cassper Nyovest’s attention during a recent encounter, and let’s just say, the vibes were not mutual.

In the now-famous clip, Phenduka appears visibly intoxicated, repeatedly calling out to Nyovest with slurred affection.

“I love you,” he says at one point, arms outstretched like a long-lost friend. Nyovest, however, doesn’t flinch; he keeps it moving, not even offering a courtesy nod. Eish.

Mzansi, of course, ran with it. Within hours, timelines were flooded with memes, jokes, and spicy commentary. While some viewers found the moment hilarious, others cringed on his behalf, calling it painful to watch and plenty of side-eyes.

While others found the moment hilarious.

Some even reckon Nyovest’s snub was low-key revenge. Fans haven’t forgotten a "Podcast and Chill" episode where MacG and Sol discussed the "Mama I Made It" rapper's career.

MacG, who's not afraid to speak his mind, even if it bites him in the a**,  called the rapper “washed up”, while Phenduka added his two cents: “Cassper is capable of better. We’re putting the cart before the horse ... South Africans love good music without dance challenges.”

After the backlash, Phenduka did what he does best: leaned into the joke.

He posted a meme video with a man saying, “I’m taking a break. You’re not going to see me here for a long time, but I’ll be around.”

One X user tried to lighten the mood as well, saying, "These things happen to everyone, yours was just documented, relax lol the embarrassment will die down"

Another commented, "When you come back, we will continue where we left off, so it's better if you stick around, and this too shall pass."

"Indeed, my brother, you gotta chill now, just like how Cass said ... "can you chill man", wrote another.

That one must sting.

At least some tried to encourage the bloke, "Nah ... not necessary bro. It’s going to be a long week for you on here, but just mize the trolls and proceed as per normal. Some of us have had many bad weeks here but have mastered the art of mizing," another commented.
