Mihlali Ndamase enjoys luxury shopping in Dubai, acquiring two Hermès Birkin bags

Mihlali Ndamase, one of South Africa's top beauty influencers is living large in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates shopping high-end luxury brands.

Ndamase has been sharing moments from her travels with her followers on Instagram and TikTok from her first-class flight to poolside chilling, Ndamase is having a good time abroad.

During her trip, Ndamase fitted some retail therapy into her schedule and visited the Hermes store where she got two Birkin bags.

The Hermes Birkin bag is highly sought after by celebrities and collectors due to its exclusivity and craftsmanship. A Birkin has become a cultural phenomenon and symbol of wealth.

“It's a cultural phenomenon,” captioned Ndamase her video of her little shopping trip.

Ndamase’s followers have been quoting “The Real Housewives of Durban” star Sorisha Naidoo’s season five tagline in her comment section. 

“It takes hard work to bring home the Birkin,” says the reality show OG Housewife.

The Hermès Swift Leather Kelly Pochette Étoupe is a smaller version of the highly coveted Kelly bag, known for its waiting lists that can extend up to six years. 

Reportedly, to purchase either bag from a Hermès boutique, customers must be considered significant or have a substantial purchase history.

The Kelly Pochette is made from smooth swift leather and features contrasting white stitching. It includes a leather handle, a flap and a strap closure secured with a palladium silver turn lock. The interior has matching matte leather and a flat pocket.

In 2022, a pre-owned Hermès Fjord Leather Birkin 35 in black, the most expensive handbag in South Africa was sold for a whopping R280 000.
