The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) stars Nonku Williams and Jojo Robinson have now mended their friendship after a very public split.
The two reality stars, affectionately dubbed as “Joku”, had been inseparable on and off the show for five seasons before unfollowing each other on Instagram last month.
The latest season of “RHOD” brought a dramatic and intense ride to viewers, with the ladies pulling out all the stops to keep fans on the edge of their seats with their friendship drama.
However, in the midst of it all, friendships and boundaries were broken, and the implosion of the “Joku” friendship hit the reality TV fans hard.
Recently, during the show’s reunion episode, Robinson expressed confusion over their falling out, noting that she had not heard from Williams in over a month. She later took to Instagram expressing just how deep their fallout affected her.
Robinson acknowledged the authenticity of their friendship and expressed regret over the issues that led to their estrangement.
On Tuesday, July 22, Williams broke her silence and addressed the situation on her Instagram as well, offering an apology to Robinson and their supporters.
She explained that they had spoken recently and clarified that her earlier remarks had been misinterpreted.
“As I reflect on my recent statement about my friendship with Jojo on the show, I want to take a moment and address the hurt and misunderstanding it may have caused,” she wrote.
“I never intended to denounce our friendship or diminish the value Jojo has brought to my life,” Williams explained, adding that she was trying to articulate how her spiritual growth had led her to approach certain aspects of her life differently.
Additionally, she shared that she reached out to Robinson and they are planning to meet soon.
The two best friends seem to have rekindled their friendship as they shared a joint Instagram video post captioned: “Round 2”.
The video showcases Williams sneaking up on Robinson before they embraced each other and ran to the beach shore.
