The legendary Mariah Carey closed  “The Town Festival 2025" on Saturday, performing her classic greatest hits and even new songs from her upcoming album “Here For It All”.

Among other songs that she performed, the pop diva also sang her beloved track “Shake It Off”. She wore a stunning black dress and rocked her signature blonde curls.

Fans packed the venue to hear the pop icon perform live, and while her mic was on, some fans did not feel her stage presence.

On social media, reactions were mixed. While some celebrated Carey’s ability to still deliver her signature high notes, others pointed out that she seemed stiff and less dynamic on stage.

“Does she have a debt she has to pay? It’s like she’s being forced to perform. No one is saying she has to dance nor move around so much but she does not look present at all,” said TikTok user @John Gil.

Another fan commented: “We got Mariah Carey with her natural hairline on show!! And the mic is definitely on this time😭😂. Her voice has definitely changed, though it’s almost like she got bored with her gift.”

“The Town Festival 2025" is one of the biggest music festivals on the calendar, bringing together international and local acts, with Carey’s appearance serving as a highlight.

The event took place at the Interlagos Racetrack in São Paulo. Other notable artists that joined Carey on the line-up were Jessie J, Ivete Sangalo and Natasha Bedingfield.

Her setlist blended classics with newer material, giving fans a taste of what’s to come in her latest era.

The performance comes right after Carey’s comeback album, which has got fans buzzing and reminded everyone of her lasting presence in the music scene.

In July, she announced her comeback album with a single titled “Type Dangerous” and later revealed that the highly anticipated album will feature 11 to 12 songs. Since then, the complete track list has been unveiled.

Releasing on September 26, the album boasts 11 songs with multiple features from Anderson.Paak, The Clark Sisters, Kehlani and Shenseea.
