It has been three days since American rapper Cardi B released her highly anticipated sophomore album “Am I The Drama?”, and it has already been hailed as a success.

The album, which boasts a number of impressive features, has been going up the charts, breaking records and reaching milestones that typically take months.

According to reports, “Am I The Drama?” has become the fastest female album in the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) history to reach Platinum status, a milestone achieved in 15 hours.

As per the RIAA, this means the album has been streamed or sold one million units in the United States.

Among a star-studded list of collaborations, South Africa’s very own Tyla is also featured on the album on a song titled “Nice Guy”.

Not only is the queen of “popiano” serving vocals on the chorus, but she also took fans by surprise when she came in guns blazing with a rap verse, which blended so smoothly with Cardi B’s adlibs.

Fans from across the globe were highly impressed by the Grammy Award-winning singer’s versatility, praising her talent and how she flowed on the beat.

“Ok I’ve listened to ‘Nice Guy’ by Cardi B featuring Tyla. Never ever thought Tyla could flow like that. The girl ate the rap. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” said X user @ThembaENgcobo1.

This feature also led to the song to reach number one on the South African iTunes Top Songs Chart.

Additionally, Billboard recently ranked all the songs from Cardi B’s chart-topping album, listing the Tyla feature at number one, calling it an “earworm” and adding that it should have been one of the leading singles from the album.

“If timed out right, it would have absolutely dominated the radio this summer. Tyla’s contribution makes for the perfect complement to Cardi B’s melodic bars.

“Hearing Tyla spit some bars also was not on our bingo card for 2025, but it’s a very nice addition to such a silky-smooth pop song,” said Billboard.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper also took to her Instagram live to thank her fans for the love they have been showing her new project.

“I just want to say that what I’m most grateful for is how good people are receiving my music. I have seen so many beautiful compliments, and that means so much to me coming from you guys,” she said in the emotional video.

The 23-track album also features artists such as Kehlani, Lizzo, Summer Walker, Cash Cobain, Selena Gomez and a Janet Jackson sample.
