It's a new year and we are expecting more celebrity babies. The children who will be born this year will be part of Generation Beta.

“Skeem Saam” actress Mogau Keebine, who recently had her second child in the SABC1 drama series as well as in real life, shared her journey.

Known for her role as Mapitsi, she posted a picture on Instagram showing her unique construction-themed baby shower, which we believe was held last year.

“Thank you, God, for 2024,” she wrote.

That caption suggested that Keebine was among the Mzansi celebrities who had babies last year, which makes sense because there was a time she was away from the small screens, meaning she could’ve been on maternity leave.

Her fans congratulated her, with some saying they noticed on the TV screens that she was pregnant.

“Oh, I saw that body on-screen gore [that] noo, actually she was pregnant in real life.😂😂 Congratulations,” said @Thulisile Angel.

Some even mocked her and said no wonder she’s been giving her on-screen husband, Thabo Maputla, a tough time, it’s because of the hormones.

On X, most people commended her for being fully clothed for her baby shower.

“First time seeing a pregnant woman fully dressed on the internet bandla🫣futhi [and] all negative comments shows that you’re used to seeing shit on the internet.

“I mean, you can’t act confused or say negative things simply because she chose to dress well instead of making y’all happy by posting a naked picture. Nisile kabi nina [you all are silly],” said @Nthabeemaringa.

Another X user, @o_mosoang, said: “Congratulations, Mogau. Thanks that you are not naked. Thanks for representing the ladies well. You are a great actress. You play Mapitsi excellently on ‘Skeem Saam’.”
