R&B fans across South Africa are in for an exciting weekend as Grammy-winning British singer Ella Mai has officially arrived in the country ahead of her highly anticipated performances.

Best known for her global hit “Boo’d Up,” the 31-year-old star is set to take the stage at the Sun City Superbowl during the Konka Kulture Weekend on April 25, followed by a second show at the Grand Arena, GrandWest on April 26.

Event organisers, Vertex Events SA, shared a video on Instagram capturing the singer’s arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport.

In the clip, Mai appears relaxed in casual travel attire as she makes her way through the airport alongside her entourage and security.

Fans can expect live performances of some of her most beloved tracks, including “Boo’d Up” and “Trip,” in what promises to be two intimate, high-quality shows.

The singer is also likely to showcase music from her latest project, DYSLM (Do You Still Love Me?), which features songs such as “Things” and “Tell Her”.

Since breaking into the music scene in 2014, Ella Mai has built a strong global following thanks to her signature blend of smooth vocals and emotionally rich songwriting.

Her breakout single “Boo’d Up” earned her a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song in 2019, while “Trip” further cemented her status as a leading voice in contemporary R&B.

The upcoming performances are expected to draw large crowds, with local fans eager to experience her soulful sound live.

Adding to the excitement, Mai will be joined on stage by some of South Africa’s biggest acts, including Sjava, Nasty C, Zee Nxumalo, Uncle Waffles, Oscar Mbo and Scorpion Kings.

With a mix of international star power and local talent, this weekend’s concerts are set to be a standout moment for R&B lovers in Mzansi.
