Chris Hemsworth is back with a thrilling new mission that encourages us all to live better - right now.

Following the international acclaim of "Limitless with Chris Hemsworth", the A-list actor returns in August to captivate audiences with season 2, "Limitless: Live Better Now", on Disney+.

The three-part series, filmed across six countries over two years, promises a blend of adventure, science and transformative learning, as it delves into universal human challenges: pain, fear and cognitive decline.

Each episode features high-stakes challenges that uncover immediate, actionable strategies for thriving in life.

The line-up begins with "Brain Power", where Hemsworth takes up an unlikely instrument: the drums.

With a stunning live performance with Grammy Award winner Ed Sheeran on the horizon, he has mere months to learn the craft.

This stage of his life not only tests his musical talent but also dives deep into the cognitive benefits associated with mastering new skills.

Over 70 000 fans will witness him rise to the occasion, transforming nerves into exhilaration.

The grand performance that went viral last August has already amassed nearly 35 million views on social media, cementing the series as National Geographic’s second-most-watched streaming offering ever.

The second episode, "Risk", propels Hemsworth onto a 600-foot Alpine climbing wall in the Swiss Alps, a daring venture inspired by his children's fearless nature.

As he navigates the climb, he learns the importance of exposure therapy and flow states in enhancing mental and physical health.

This segment showcases his journey into the unknown, highlighting how embracing risks can lead to a more fulfilling life.

Rounding out the series is "Pain", where Hemsworth embarks on a mission to confront his chronic pain through a unique exploration in South Korea, where he uncovers both ancient healing practices and modern science.

As he endures rigorous Special Forces trials, he faces "pain valley", culminating in a transformative experience that offers fresh perspectives on resilience.

Among those guiding Hemsworth on this extraordinary adventure are a powerful ensemble of experts, from cognitive scientist Dr. Maya Shankar to free solo climber Steph Davis and MMA fighter Kim Dong-hyun.

"Making this series has been a life-changing journey. I’ve discovered so much about my own health, resilience and what it really means to live well,” said Hemsworth.

"I hope this next chapter inspires audiences to step outside their comfort zones and embrace challenges, because the impact it’s had on my life has been truly profound.

"Living better is not just about training the body. From the Swiss Alps to South Korea, I’ve been pushed past the limits to find the science and the mindset for a healthier, stronger life."
