Arrabiata Pasta

1 cup penne pasta

½ onion, diced

½ tsp crushed garlic

2 tomatoes, liquidised

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp red chilli flakes

½ tsp lemon pepper

salt to taste

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp garlic powder

½ sachet tomato paste

½ tsp sugar

5-6 baby tomatoes, halved

¼ green pepper, cubed

Method

Add oil to a pot with the garlic, onion and baby tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are blistered. Add the green peppers. Cook for a minute before adding the liquidised tomatoes and spices. Cook until the water is reduced.

Add the pasta and enough boiling water to cover it.

Close the pot. Cook on medium-low heat until the water is dried and the pasta is cooked al dente. Add more water if needed.

Mix together, top with spring onion and serve hot.
