Lemon Butter Hake

Marinade:

2 hake fillets

1 tsp garlic

1 tsp @themixsalt salt (it is a mixture of salt, black pepper, oregano, coriander and garlic)

Sauce:

1 tsp mixed herbs

½ tsp lemon pepper

2 tbs butter

½ onion, diced

½ tsp garlic paste

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp red chilli flakes

¼ tsp pepper

½ cup cream

juice of 1 lemon

¼ cup milk

Method 

Marinate the fish, and then fry in the butter until golden on both sides.

Remove from the pan and set aside.

Add oil and butter to the same pan, and fry the onion with the garlic paste until soft and translucent.

Add the spices and the juice of half a lemon. Add the cream and milk, and simmer. Add more lemon juice if needed, and then put the fish back in the pan.

Cook the fish for 5 minutes more on medium-low heat. Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices. Serve with sides of your choice.
