A pre-international yoga day, hosted by the Consulate General of India in Durban and the Mohanji Centre of Benevolence, was hosted in Nonoti on Sunday.
"Yoga is not just poses or physical exercise. Yoga is union, the alignment of body, mind, breath, emotions, and consciousness," said Sulosh Pillay, the head of the Mohanji Centre of Benevolence (MCB) Nonoti.

"In today’s fast-paced world, people are seeking peace, balance, healing, and inner stability. Yoga offers all of this naturally and holistically. At MCB Nonoti, yoga is deeply connected to seva (selfless service), conscious living, and community upliftment. The sacred energy of the MCB made this event especially powerful.
"Many people experienced deep peace, grounding, healing, and clarity when they visit the space. The MCB is not just a venue; it is a spiritual sanctuary built on love, benevolence, and transformation. The environment itself helps align and strengthen people energetically and emotionally. Thankful to the community that came in their numbers."
The 12th International Day of Yoga will be celebrated on Sunday, June 21.
