THE International Movement for Tamil Culture (IMTC) would like to congratulate our youth who recently concluded the Reaching Your Roots programme held in India.
They are Kieran Mark Pillai, Shaylene Naicker, Simhandri Moorthi, Yolisha Moodley, Darsha Ellan, Kimeisha Paliam, Thashanta Pillay, Sadie Pauline Kandan, Jessie Jaynisha Govender, Sudharshan Moodley and Yasoden Pillay.
This unique initiative is designed to help youth of Indian origin reconnect with their cultural heritage, explore their ancestral history, and build a deeper sense of identity and pride.
In this programme, 11 young South Africans proudly represented our country. They took part in cultural exchanges, educational sessions, and immersive experiences that broadened their perspectives and strengthened their appreciation of their roots.
Through Reaching Your Roots, IMTC aims to empower the next generation with knowledge of their history while encouraging them to embrace their roles as cultural ambassadors. We encourage more young people to apply for the upcoming programmes and take advantage of this invaluable opportunity for growth and self-discovery.
