"Jewellery store heist at Chatsworth Centre," the POST, March 18-22 refers. The centre was hit again, with the jewellery store falling victim to a brazen heist.

This latest incident has locals questioning the mall's security measures especially given the frequency of such events. Enough is enough, it is not just about businesses, it is about people's lives.

It is time the centre management upped their game. Bring in security experts. Get top security specialists to lock down the mall and make sure these heists become a thing of the past. Safety and security cannot wait.

This incident highlights concerns about security protocols at the popular shopping hub. There has been no comment from the centre management about the latest break in. CCTV cameras and increased patrols must be on top of the agenda.

The majority of the security guards are pensioners, they deserve a break.

Bring in young, alert guards who can actually keep up. It is time the management gets serious about security. All we want is safe shopping.

The patience of shoppers is wearing thin. It is time for stronger security to protect businesses and shoppers alike. The latest heist follows a string of similar incidents at the centre, sparking fears that it is becoming a hot spot for crime.

Remember a secure today is a safe tomorrow. Heists happen when vigilance sleeps.
