There were significant petrol and diesel price increases in May.

EVERY month I fill my petrol tank – the amount is over R1,000. My garage has been Engen Coastal Centre in Tongaat.
On May 5, at about 9:08am, as usual I went to fill up, only to be told that I could only have R300 worth of petrol.
At 11:16am, we drove to the BP Service Station in Buffelsdale. I was again told that I could only fill up with R300.
We went to the Samco Service Station where I filled up R554,83 worth of fuel – no limitation.
What happens to the fuel that is still in the tanks after midnight? Do the service stations account for the fact that this fuel is now sold at the new price?
This is South Africa.
