THE protests against illegal foreigners is gaining momentum with the truckers joining suit against employment of foreign drivers.

There are some that are in favour of accommodating these undocumented foreigners but they don't seem to see  the big picture. There are over eight million jobless and frustrated South Africans currently walking the streets especially our youth.

This equates to approximately a third of the workable population. Illegal foreigners take up jobs meant for South African citizens.

They use up basic amenities such as water electricity, sanitation, housing, medical care  etc. They also contribute to the high crime rate. These foreigners contribute very little to our stagnant economy because whatever money they make gets relayed to their people from their country of origin. The majority of these illegal foreigners are unskilled but take up jobs meant for South Africans such as Spaza Shops . It is perceived that this massive influx of foreigner has built up to unproportioned levels due to the previous government.

This is because of key department such as home affairs, border management , SAPS etc. was riddled with corrupt officials open to bribes. Much of these shenanigans are being revealed in the various commissions of enquiry. The Government of National Unity is making huge inroads in cleaning up this mess.
