Kids these days have no problem speaking their minds, and this little girl is no exception.
In a viral TikTok video, a girl clutching her doll openly shares her feelings about life in the village.
Talking to a woman off-screen, she confidently explains that village life just isn’t for her.
“I don’t chase around chickens,” she tells the woman, who is clearly shocked by her honesty.
“The chickens are not for me. Cows are not for me,” she continues, crossing her hands with conviction.
She goes on to say that “phones and couches” are what she prefers.
When the woman asks her what she is, she proudly declares that she’s a “city kid.”
It’s common for kids from urban areas to visit family in villages and experience a completely different environment.
While most children eventually adapt, this little girl is having none of it.
The video, shared by Emmaculate Cindi, has been viewed almost 400,000 times and as expected, South Africans flooded the comments with their thoughts.
And Mzansi agrees!
"Maturity is realising that she's right by her own standards," commented a woman.
“And there is absolutely nothing wrong with what she is saying, she is self-aware and I love that for her. There is no trophy that you get for being a village girly. Love it for you nana,” one woman commented.
Another said: “I understand her full, Village life was never for me, what do you mean, the toilet is that far.”
“This was me when I was young, cried every day, hated everything about village life. The way she is free to express herself, I love it,” added another viewer.
"This is my daughter right here....she will not chase after chickens or eat a goat that she saw being slaughtered," said another parent.
