Let’s face it, Hollywood celebrities often seem like they’re living in a parallel universe of perfect bodies, glowing skin, and endless energy.
But behind the glamour lies a reality we can all relate to: health and fitness take effort, intention, and a whole lot of consistency. Jennifer Aniston, whose timeless fitness and wellness routine continues to inspire millions, is no exception.
Dani Coleman, Aniston’s personal trainer and Pvolve expert, recently shared her refreshingly down-to-earth approach to fitness in an interview with E! News. And spoiler alert: it’s not about unattainable routines or gruelling workouts. Instead, Coleman points to something we can all incorporate into our lives - small, sustainable habits that build toward long-term success.
Here’s everything you need to know about how Jennifer Aniston stays fit, and how you can too, with no Hollywood budget required.
1. How often should you be working out?
When it comes to exercise, we often think more is better. But Coleman’s advice is surprisingly realistic: “I always tell clients I aim for three to four times a week. Four is a trainer’s dream, but three is more realistic for people’s schedules.” This simple plan takes the pressure off while encouraging consistency. For anyone juggling work, family, and the chaos of daily life, knowing that three solid workouts a week can make an impact is empowering.

2. Why consistency beats intensity every time
One of the biggest mistakes people make when starting a fitness routine is going all in only to burn out within weeks. Coleman warns against this “all-or-nothing” mindset, encouraging people to start small and build gradually. “Consistency over intensity,” she says. “I’ll choose this any day for clients. I just want you to get into the habit of adding daily movement into your life. Start small scale up.” Whether it’s 10 minutes session, a walk around the block, or a quick at-home workout, these small steps create a foundation for long-term results.
3. The power of small, daily choices
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the idea of transforming your body or overhauling your diet, Coleman has some reassuring advice: focus on the little things. “It’s important to honour your body where it’s at and know that the small daily choices you make add up to the big picture,” she advises. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Find your why and build toward that long term.”
This mindset shift can be life-changing. Instead of obsessing over instant results, think about your health as a journey. Every small choice, whether it’s drinking more water, prioritising sleep, or adding an extra serving of veggies contributes to a healthier, stronger you.
4. Listening to your body is the ultimate fitness hack
Some days, you’re ready to crush a full workout. On other days, just getting off the couch feels like a win. And guess what? That’s okay. “Whether you have 30 minutes, a full tank of energy, or you’re running on empty, listen to your body,” Coleman says. You don’t always have to show up at 100 percent. There will be days when you only have 50 percent in the tank, and that’s fine. We’re going to make it count and meet your body where it’s at.”
This flexible approach removes the guilt of missing a workout or not pushing yourself to the max. It’s about showing up for yourself in whatever way you can, even if it’s just stretching or moving gently.
5. Celebrate your uniqueness
“No two bodies are the same, and we celebrate that,” says Coleman. This is one of the most important lessons from Aniston’s trainer: fitness isn’t about comparison or perfection. It’s about embracing your body, its strengths, its quirks, and its needs."
This inclusive philosophy is a reminder that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to health. What works for Jennifer Aniston might not work for you, and that’s perfectly okay. The goal is to find what makes you feel good and stick with it.
