Paris Fashion Week always delivers a spectacle but L’Oréal Paris took it to another level with its latest runway extravaganza titled “Liberté. Égalité. Sororité.”
The show was more than fashion. It was a statement about empowerment, diversity and the power of women standing together.
And right at the heart of it all was South Africa’s own rising star, Ama Qamata.
Fresh from being announced as the newest L’Oréal Paris ambassador, Ama Qamata made her international runway debut in Paris.
“The Blood and Water” actress lit up the catwalk in a striking short red dress paired with matching heels, radiating confidence and elegance.
Qamata follows in the footsteps of fellow South African actress Thuso Mbedu, who also walked the L’Oréal runway in both 2023 and 2024.
Mbedu has become a global face for the brand, demonstrating that African talent is at the forefront of international conversations in beauty and fashion.
Of course, a L’Oréal Paris show wouldn’t be complete without an impressive roll call of famous faces. The 2025 edition delivered just that.
Helen Mirren turned heads yet again, bringing timeless glamour and effortless sophistication, while Eva Longoria, a long-time L’Oréal favourite, dazzled with her signature poise.
Longoria, who has been the face of L'Oréal for many years, told Reuters, “I’m not a model, but it’s fun to pretend to be a model.”
Andie MacDowell showcased silver beauty in motion, proving age has no limits on style.
Kendall Jenner, who closed the show in a flowing white gown, brought supermodel star power to the lineup.
Viola Davis embodied strength and presence on the catwalk in an off-the-shoulder black and white figure-hugging dress.
Other big names who graced the black runway included Heidi Klum, Jane Fonda, Simone Ashley and Cara Delevingne.
