A US bride stunned the internet after she shared a video of her with no make-up on before walking down the aisle.
Calynn Chapman took to TikTok to share a video of her being excited to walk down the aisle just eight minutes before she said “I do”.
The new bride revealed that it was a tough decision for her not to wear make-up on her big day since she rarely wears make-up.
Chapman captioned her post: “This was something I went back & forth during the entire engagement. I never wear make-up, but it was my wedding! But at the end of the day, I decided against it & I felt the most beautiful I ever have just being me.”
Her video has amassed over 4.1 million likes and 34.4 million views and social media users had mixed reactions about Chapman’s decision to not wear makeup for her wedding day.
“People who don’t wear make-up think it’s such an achievement,” @itssalomealways commented.
While @julialerosa wrote: “I mean you coulda done eyebrows? Natural lashes? Lip balm?”
@shila added, “Why, though? It’s the biggest day of your life.”
Even though there were people who commented and judged her for not wearing make-up, others shared that they are inspired to do the same and she made the right decision since she is not a fan of make-up.
“Everybody’s out here talking about what she should have done, but facts are - face? Tea. Body? Tea. Husband? Secured and head over heels in love with her,” @muybonita said.
While @wethuuu.m added: “Mind you, she did not say anything rude about the make-up girls. She’s just sharing her choice and experiences, and y’all turned it into this negative thing.”

Wearing make-up for your wedding became a tradition many moons ago, as a way to feel and look good on your special day. It has been normalised as we all know that makeup enhances your features; whether it is a glam look or a natural beat.
However, on a hot day, it might be a bit tedious as the temperatures are high and your make-up melts away due to sweating- which results in you needing multiple touch ups a day.
The “no make-up trend” has become a thing now because no one wants to stress about sweating your make-up off.
Going make-up free allows one to enjoy their day and make beautiful memories with family and friends.
