As the fashion, racing, and social elite prepare to gather at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse this Saturday for the 128th running of the Hollywoodbets Durban July, Windhoek Beer is promising racegoers an experience that’s as bold as the Marvels of Mzansi theme itself.
Windhoek said its marquee, which is designed as a Safari Oasis, will give guests a stylish escape inspired by African landscapes, culture, and flavour.
Natural textures, earthy tones, and bold heritage prints will set the scene for what the brand calls an “unforgettable escape where flavour, connections, and Mzansi-inspired luxury come together.”
The marquee has shaded seating, laid-back beats, and ice-cold Windhoek Lager served alongside South African favourites like bobotie with a twist and chakalaka-infused dishes from the Harvest Table.
Fashionistas and social media lovers can strike a pose at the Game Drive Photo Booth featuring dramatic backdrops and cameos from the Big Five. Guests can also cool down with a branded Windhoek sorbet on arrival or unwind at the Pamper Pit Stop, which offers scented towels, makeup touch-ups, hand massages, and shoe shines.
Visitors can also take part in a guided beer tasting challenge at the Bold and Fresh Windhoek Island.
“Guests who explore the marquee can collect Windhoek coins and redeem them for exclusive items like safari hats, fans, or heel stoppers,” the brand said. Some general access guests could also receive a golden Windhoek token for a VIP upgrade to the Pegasus Lounge, a plush, safari-inspired hideaway.
