Hawks nab eight for card cloning in North West

Johannesburg – The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) on Tuesday, said eight suspects made brief court appearances in North West for allegedly cloning cards.

Tshidiso Donald Phokwane, 34, is among seven others who were arrested aged between 25 and 50.

"We conducted a major investigation after several complains of card cloning as well as card swiping have been reported within the Province," Hawks spokesperson Manase Phukubye said.

All the suspects were released on R5 000 bail each, and are set to appear in court again on March 10.
