UWC is among the top-five higher education institutions in the country for physical sciences, and medical and health subjects, according to the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings released on Wednesday.
The rankings evaluate universities across 11 distinct subject areas.
UWC vice-chancellor Professor Robert Balfour said the results reflected the hard work of the staff and students.
“As a university, we remain focused on our mission to advance knowledge, which makes an enduring impact across all areas of society,” he said.
In other subject areas, the university was ranked sixth for law; seventh for arts and humanities; eighth for education studies and social sciences; ninth for life sciences and psychology and 11th for business and economics.
