R4 million Powerball win: will the winner come forward?

YOU may not know it, but you could be more than R4 million richer.

One person won the Powerball jackpot on Tuesday but the winner has not come forward yet.

"We can't wait for the winner to come forward. It's always fulfilling to hear how such a significant win is going to change someone's life and witness first-hand the impact the winnings have on their lives," said Ithuba CEO Charmaine Mabuza.

The lucky person has won R4 124 764.70 via a ticket purchased through TymeBank. All it took was investing R22.50 using the Quick Pick selection method.

Since January, 10  players have become instant multi-millionaires across both Lotto and PowerBall games. The National Lottery has also paid out R486 million in winnings this year.

Tickets are valid 365 days from the draw date. Winnings are paid out within 72 hours of a valid claim, and all National Lottery winnings are tax-free.
