Ithuba is urging participants from this region to check their tickets
“We encourage all in-store National Lottery participants to check their numbers shortly after the draw,” said Charmaine Mabuza, theCEO of Ithuba.
“To ensure your ticket is protected, we also recommend writing your name and ID number on the back of the ticket as soon as you purchase it. It’s a simple way to safeguard your potential winnings.”
Winners have 365 days from the date of the draw to claim their winnings before forfeiting them.
Mabuza added that Ithuba offered full support to winners at every stage of the claiming process.
“Our Winner Services team is ready to assist the winner and guide them through a seamless claiming process. We also recognise the importance of offering trauma counselling and financial advice to help them navigate their new life comfortably.”
For winners of R50 000 and above, Ithuba provides trauma counselling and financial advice, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage their newfound wealth responsibly.
Players can check their tickets at retail stores or on the National Lottery website or social media pages. Winnings are paid out tax-free within 72 hours of a valid claim.
Players must be 18 years or older.
