A lucky participant won more than R13 million in draw 2535 held on Wednesday. The winning ticket was purchased at Grassy Park in Cape Town with a R40 wager using a manual selection.
The winner is urged to visit his or her local Ithuba office to start the seamless claiming process, with winnings paid out within 72 hours of a valid claim.
Charmaine Mabuza, the CEO of Ithuba, the operator of the National Lottery, said: "We are excited to meet the winner of this jackpot. We urge winners to make use of the free trauma counselling and financial advice that Ithuba offers to winners. These services have helped many National Lottery multimillionaires, who have won under Ithuba's tenure make wise financial decisions that will benefit them for decades to come."
All winners have 365 days from the draw date to claim their prize, and all National Lottery winnings are tax-free. Participants can check their tickets at the retail stores, or check results on the National Lottery website or social media pages, while participants who play on the banking platforms are notified of their winnings by the banks.
Players must be 18 years or older.
