THERE has not been one but two life-changing jackpots won over the weekend across PowerBall Plus and Lotto Plus 1.

In the PowerBall Plus draw on Friday, R6.663.250.50 was won through the banking channel, with a quick pick selection wagered at R45.

The following day, the Lotto Plus 1 draw brought forth yet another fortune, with a remarkable jackpot of R13.240.758.60 being claimed at a retailer in Carletonville, Johannesburg. This ticket was selected manually for a wager of R40.

Charmaine Mabuza, the CEO of Ithuba, the Operator of the National Lottery, said in a statement: “Two jackpots in one weekend is a wonderful result for our players. We congratulate our new multi-millionaires and encourage all participants to check their tickets. Our team is ready to guide the winners through a secure, private, and supportive claiming process."

Winners are reminded that National Lottery winnings must be claimed within 365 days of the draw date. Top-tier winners receive free financial and trauma counselling, and winnings are paid out tax-free within 72 hours.

Winners who play via the bank are notified of their winnings by the bank. In-store participants must check their physical tickets against draw results, which are available on the draw show, National Lottery social media pages and media platforms.
