Sinath contributed a solid 42, while Asmall top scored with a fluent 66.
The finishing touch came from Sumir Singh, who produced a sensational cameo — blasting 42 off just 12 balls — to power Sporting to victory and secure their place in the T20 semi- finals.
Speaking on the men’s performance, club president, Bronwyn Gounden said: “Our Premier Reserve side showed real character this season. Despite two close losses, the boys never dropped their heads and kept fighting every game.
“Their bonus-point win over the University of KwaZulu-Natal and victory over Amanzimtoti Cricket club was a clear reflection of their growth and determination. The team is very young - mostly made up of schoolboys - and this season has been about rebuilding, developing their confidence, and helping them find their rhythm at this level.
The progress they have made has been encouraging, and there is a lot of promise in this squad for the seasons ahead.”
