A FORTUNATE participant recently claimed a staggering R6.6 million from the PowerBall PLUS jackpot, following Draw 1664 on Friday, October 31, 2025.

The winning ticket was purchased through a banking channel with a modest R45 wager, using the popular Quick Pick selection method.

The winner, who has remained committed to the National Lottery by playing twice a week, described the sequence of events leading to his life-changing discovery as "surreal."

His moment arrived unexpectedly: first an SMS from his bank, then a confirmation call informing him that he was now a multi-millionaire.

“I was shocked, but elated,” he shared.

“My biggest dream has always been to renovate my mother’s house. This win makes that possible. My heart is full.”

Ituba CEO, Charmaine Mabuza, applauded the winner: “We are incredibly happy for him and his family. These are the moments that remind us why the National Lottery exists: to create opportunities, uplift families, and bring real, positive change to people’s lives.”

Still employed, the winner is ready to use part of his winnings to fuel his entrepreneurial dreams.

“I’m excited to finally invest in my business and take it to the next level,” he said, already mapping out his next chapter.
