Police arrested two men in Durban's Point precinct on Thursday after recovering drugs worth about R330 000 during a sting operation.
The men, aged 32 and 29, were charged with dealing in drugs.

Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Magwaza, a provincial police spokesperson, said members from the Provincial Drugs and Firearms Unit had gathered intelligence on two individuals suspected of dealing drugs in the Point Policing Precinct.
“The movements and activities of the two persons of interest were monitored by police for some time until sufficient information was collected on their illegal activities. On Thursday, police conducted a sting operation targeting the two suspects who had been under surveillance. During the operation the team apprehended both suspects.”

Magwaza said one of the men was found in possession of 20 glass villas of cocaine powder, while the other was found in possession of 4 200 pieces of rock cocaine, 300 capsules of heroin, 46 glass vials of heroin powder and 38 mandrax tablets.
Magwaza said the drugs are estimated to have a street value of about R330 000.
He said both men are expected to appear in court soon.
