A PARK Rynie man who was arrested for speeding at 208 km/h in a 120 km/h zone while driving a Ferrari ,has been released on bail.
Amir Abbas Bighash was nabbed during the Department of Transport’s (DOT) Nenzani la Ezweni operation last night.
He was charged with speeding, failing to display his number plates and licence disc, after he was nabbed by the Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) in his red Ferrari F8 Spider driving at 208 km/h in a 120 km/h zone.
He appeared in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court today (Monday).

Bighash was released on R3 000 bail, but he also had to pay a fine of R5 100 for an outstanding warrant of arrest.
Ndabezinhle Sibiya, spokesperson for the KZN DOT, said: “Drivers of minibus taxis, trucks, and supercars have all crossed swords with the Road Traffic Inspectorate over reckless driving, speeding, and drunk driving.
“To demonstrate that nobody is above the law, we continue to arrest lawyers, police, soldiers, bodyguards, teachers, engineers, accountants, truck drivers, taxi drivers, nurses, pastors, correctional services officers, social workers, mall managers, pet controllers, security guards, and many other professionals,” Sibiya said.
Bighash will appear in court again later this month.
