Police in KwaZulu-Natal have intercepted drugs worth an estimated street value exceeding R10 million and arrested a 37-year-old foreign national in a meticulously planned operation at Quarry Heights, Durban.
Members of the Provincial Drugs and Firearms Unit acted promptly on credible intelligence regarding an individual suspected of distributing illicit substances.
Subsequent investigations resulted in the police locating the suspect, who was found in possession of a considerable quantity of drugs.

The operation intensified when officers traced the suspect to a residence on Caters Street. There, they discovered more heroin, crystal meth, and cocaine, reflecting the severity of the drug-related crime impacting the community.
In addition to the substantial drug haul, police uncovered an illegal firearm and 47 rounds of ammunition at the same location, raising serious concerns about the potential threat to public safety posed by the suspect.

The suspect is set to appear before the Durban Magistrate's Court on multiple charges, including dealing in drugs and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition. Law enforcement officials have hailed this operation as a critical step in the ongoing battle against the drug trade in the region.
