Four people, including a woman, were arrested following police operations targeting drugs and stolen goods in Boitekong.

An intelligence-driven police operation has led to the arrest of four suspects, including a woman, for possession of drugs and suspected stolen property in the North West.
The arrests followed coordinated searches conducted by the Crime Combating Operational team at homes in Meriting New Stands, Seraleng and Ramochana within the Boitekong policing area on Thursday morning, 25 December 2025, police said.
Three of the suspects were found in possession of drugs, including mandrax, dagga, crystal meth and rock, with an estimated street value of R15,000. Police also seized R860 in cash believed to be the proceeds of crime. A fourth suspect was arrested after being found in possession of suspected stolen cellphones.

The suspects, aged between 37 and 52, are expected to appear in the Bafokeng Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 29 December 2025, facing charges of drug possession and possession of suspected stolen goods.
In a related development, police stated that information received from community members led to the extension of the Shanela 2 Safer Festive Season operation from Vryburg to the Ipelegeng Location outside Schweizer-Reneke.

During the operation, the combined Anti-Gang and Drug Task Team raided several identified addresses, resulting in the arrest of one suspect found with a quantity of drugs, drug paraphernalia and cash. At another address, suspects fled the scene, abandoning drugs that were subsequently confiscated.
The arrested suspect is expected to appear in the Schweizer-Reneke Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 29 December 2025, on a charge of possession of drugs.
Police in the province said investigations are continuing.
