Residents in the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal are urged to brace for severe thunderstorms expected on Monday.
The South African Weather Service (Saws) has warned of inclement weather, including strong winds, excessive lightning, and hail, which could lead to damage or loss of infrastructure, settlements, vehicles, and major travel disruptions.
For this, the forecaster has issued a Yellow Level 4 warning.
It's going to be a wet start to the week for most of the country, from Monday.

Meanwhile, a Yellow Level 2 warning has been issued for severe thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning over parts of central areas, Mpumalanga, and the Free State.
An extremely high fire danger warning has been issued for the western parts of North West and in places over the Northern Cape.
