The match between Western Province Cricket Club and Bellville ended in dramatic fashion when the homeside clinched a nail-biting 11-run win after setting the visitors a target of 250 at the Wally Wilson Oval on Saturday.
Going into the last two overs, Bellville needed 21 runs for a victory with three wickets in hand.
But the homeside’s Oliver Whitehead had other ideas and took the two wickets of Keane Solomons (14) and Leon Van Vuuren (1) in the 49th over to complete his fiver (5/46) while Bellville's Kai Chetty was run out by Justin Behrens in the last over to secure the homeside a much needed win to close in on log leaders Bellville.
