I have been asked on many occasions how much of a role does a caddie influence when playing a round of golf. When it comes to golf, having the right equipment and technique is crucial, but having a good caddie can be just as important.
A skilled caddie is like having a golfing wingman – they know the course inside-out and can provide valuable insights to help you navigate the game.
One of the biggest advantages of having a good caddie is their knowledge of the course. They can give you correct yardages, helping you choose the right club for each shot. They'll also know the best spots to aim for and the safest routes to take, especially on tricky holes.
A good caddie will also be able to read the greens for you, helping you line up the perfect putt. They'll take into account the slope, grain, and speed of the green, giving you the confidence to make more putts.
But a caddie's role goes beyond just providing technical advice. They'll also help keep you focused and calm under pressure. No more getting bogged down by a bad shot or getting distracted by the surroundings – your caddie will be there to keep you on track and motivated.
In addition, a good caddie will help with club selection and strategy, especially in tricky situations. They'll know when to play it safe and when to take a risk, helping you make smarter decisions on the course.

Overall, having a good caddie is like having an extra set of eyes and ears on the course. They can help you navigate the game, make smarter decisions, and stay focused on your goal – shooting a great score.
