The Pretoria Capitals are set to take on the Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the final of the fourth season of the Betway SA20 at Newlands in Cape Town today.
Independent Newspapers picks five Match-Ups to keep an eye on during the crucial encounter.
Ngidi has a point to prove at Newlands, having been put to the sword by De Kock this season.
During the Centurion fixture, Ngidi was hit all around the park by the left-handed De Kock, while the right-arm quick bowled only two overs and went wicketless in Qualifier 1 at Kingsmead in Durban earlier this week.
On the other hand, De Kock would be looking to close off the tournament on a high, having had a very successful campaign as he is the current leading run-scorer this season.
Fresh from a match-winning 75 not out against the same bowling attack earlier this week, Brevis will be licking his lips to have another go at them at Newlands.
Nortje, despite having returned figures of 1/33 in Qualifier 1, will be looking to do a lot better and will most certainly task himself to get the better of the "big fish", Brevis.
With Nortje not taking the new ball for the Sunrisers, he most likely will be bowling to Brevis, who comes in to bat in the middle order for the Pretoria Capitals.
This will be the battle of the spinners, with both Maharaj and Muthusamy having been in good form in the tournament.
Maharaj returned 2/24 in four overs in his last game, while Muthusamy registered 3/15 in four overs in his, meaning both spinners carry good momentum going into the final.
Muthusamy is likely to have a greater impact on the game given his batting credentials. However, Maharaj will be leading the Pretoria Capitals as the second captain to lead the Centurion-based unit to an SA20 final.
Hope has been relatively quiet during the back end of the tournament. However, having scored a century in the tournament, he will be looking to bounce back as an opening batter.
On the other hand, Jansen looked in fine form at the Bullring on Friday. The left-arm quick, as an opening bowler for the Sunrisers, will be looking to strike early, and no wicket is better than that of the West Indies international, Hope.
This will be the battle of the overseas players. West Indies international Russell is yet to fire for the Pretoria Capitals, and what better event to start doing so than the final?!
On the other hand, Englishman Coles carried the Sunrisers on his back to the final with a Player of the Match performance, one which saw him take 1/15 and strike 45 not out, in Qualifier 2 at the Bullring.
Both players will be looking to leave their stamp on the match at Newlands.
