The Proteas have lost their seventh successive toss on their tour of Pakistan and have been asked to bowl first in the second ODI in Faisalabad.

The visitors are seeking to stay alive in the series after losing the series opener by two wickets two days ago.

They have made two changes to the line-up with left-arm seamer Nandre Burger and leg-spinner Nqabayomzi Peter being drafted in for Lizaad Williams and Lungi Ngidi.

“We would have batted first. Hopefully we can restrict them to a decent total and chase it. We were about 20 runs short. Our bowlers bowled really well,” said Proteas captain Matthew Breetzke.

Pakistan will be looking to maintain their dominance over the visitors and have also made two changes with Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim Jr called up.

“We will bat first. The pitch looks the same. Two changes. Faheem and Wasim Jr are back. Lot of areas (to improve), the boys played really well in the last game,” said Shaheen Afridi.
