There is still uncertainty whether Ireland stars such as flyhalf Jack Crowley will feature for Munster against the Stormers.

Munster forwards coach Alex Codling says his side are bracing for a full-blooded, Springbok-style onslaught when they host the table-topping Stormers in Saturday’s top-of-the-table United Rugby Championship clash in Limerick.
Both teams head into the match unbeaten after a top start to the campaign. The Stormers occupy the top position on points difference ahead of the second-placed Munster.
After winning their first two matches at home, the Stormers ended their three-match tour unbeaten and are brimming with confidence. For Codling, the challenge in front of Munster is crystal clear, as they expect Test-match intensity on Saturday..
“We’re playing the URC leaders,” Codling said. “There are a lot of similarities between themselves and the Springboks. South African rugby is on a real high at the moment, just how they’re going after that tour. We’re expecting an extremely physical game.”
Both pride themselves on scrum dominance and gainline brutality, and both see the contest as a barometer of where they truly stand.
Munster have played some of the competition’s most consistent rugby. Codling says they are satisfied with their progress, yet they fully aware that levels must rise against an opponent who thrive in the very areas Munster consider their strengths.
Adding intrigue to the week is the return of Munster’s Ireland internationals after a bruising Autumn Series, which included a ferocious Test against the Springboks last weekend.
While the stars are back in training, including captain Tadhg Beirne and flyhalf Jack Crowley, Codling says the management team will tread carefully before deciding who is ready to face the Stormers.
“They’ve obviously come back off the back of a tough series physically, none more so than the game on Saturday against the Springboks,” he explained.
“They were back training today, and one thing about the boys is that when they return to the environment, they come bouncing in.
“A decision will be made later in the week on where they are physically and mentally after the Autumn series.”
The Stormers also haven’t confirmed if any of their Springboks will be in action this weekend following the Boks’ November tour.
