It is all systems go for an epic Europa League final encounter in Bilbao between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United tonight at 9pm (SA time).
Ironically, these iconic powerhouses of English football lie in 16th and 17th positions on the Premier League table, but have found a way to make the final.
The KZN Spurs Official Supporters Club, who are directed affiliated to the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in London, are excited and will meet at the Riverside Hotel ahead of the match.
Club chairman Viren Ramprith said he was confident about his team’s chances of a long-awaited title, and has reminded that Tottenham Hotspur have already beaten Manchester United three times this season.
The KZN Spurs Official Supporters’ Club was formed in 2021 as an initiative for all Spurs supporters in the area to be networked and to have a direct official link to the football club.
A delegation of around 20 supporters made a historic trip to London and the Tottenham N17 Stadium in 2023, and were well received by the club.
KZN Spurs have grown to become one of the leading international Tottenham Supporters Clubs in the world, and are well recognised across the globe.
The KZN Spurs Official Supporters’ Club is not just about football as football development at grassroots level rank high on their agenda, and they embark on many charity and social upliftment projects.
The club had personally provided 1 000 units of 5L bottled drinking water to residents of Tongaat during their water strife in 2022, and have also donated a generous amount to the Tongaat Disaster Relief Fund for the Tornado damage that was caused there recently.
