With Kaizer Chiefs skipper Yusuf Maart on his way out of the club, it’s been revealed how much the Soweto Giants are willing to sell the attacking midfielder for.

The speculation is that Austrian club SV Ried are close to getting Maart to sign on the dotted line, with Chiefs expected to confirm the announcement soon.

The 29-year-old, according to Soccer Laduma, will be going for a sum of R15 million.

It would bring to an end a three-year spell with Chiefs for Maart.

Chiefs’ Transfer Deal with SV Ried: R15 Million for Maart

“The deal is as good as done. It’s believed that Chiefs have asked for R15 million from SV Ried. They are making good business with these players moving away. They did the same with Teenage Hadebe, Siyabonga Ngezana and recently Thatayaone Ditlhokwe. So they have done the same with Maart. It’s believed they are making money when least expected,” a source said according to Soccer Laduma.

This comes after news on Wednesday that Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung had pulled out of the race to sign Percy Tau.

Last week, Chiefs announced the signing of Orlando Pirates duo Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako, a significant boost to their player stocks.

While switching allegiances among derby rivals is often frowned upon, Chiefs will be left grinning as they added the two star players to their defence for the upcoming Betway Premiership season.

The 25-year-old Monyane joins Chiefs after his contract ran out with Pirates at the end of June.

Meanwhile, the more experienced 31-year-old Mako also had his contract run out at Pirates at the end of last month.
