While Oswin Appollis was already seen as a major signing for Orlando Pirates for the coming season, it’s now been revealed that the Soweto Giants may have also bagged the midfielder for quite a bargain.

While initial reports mentioned figures between R15 million and R20 million that Pirates would have paid to Polokwane City, it’s been revealed as significantly less.

The 23-year-old is now believed to have signed for a reported fee of R12 million according to Kick Off.

Though the reason for the ‘discounted price’ was not disclosed, it does place the move of Appollis to Pirates in a slightly different light.
